Hershey Park, the theme park is situated in the Derry Township of Pennsylvania. Until 1970 it was called with the name Hershey Park and now it is called Hersheypark. It is a privately owned entertainment and resort company in the Hershey. This park is just a twenty minute drive from Harrisburg, the capital city of Pennsylvania. If you are coming from Philadelphia it will take two hours to reach this park. This park was first opened in the year 1907 on April 24 from its beloved founder Milton S. Hershey. The park’s first roller coaster named Wild Cat was first operated in 1923.

Later in the 1970 the park started the redevelopment plan that includes even the name change. In the same year the Hershey Park got its 1st looping roller coaster and observation tower of 330 foot named the kissing Tower. The park witnessed the rapid growth in the 1980s. During from 1991 to 2008 the park expanded its roller coaster number to 8 and also installed a water park. In the year 2000, the park was honored with IAAPA Applause Award which was given to excellent and creative accomplishment in the development of park. The management is the striving force behind the development of Hershey Park and its business. Today Hershey Park covers more than 110 acres of land thus covering 60 rides and lot of other attractions. Boardwalk at Hersheypark is the name of Water Park present in this park. It also got a zoo named ZOOAMERICA that shows the wildlife of North America.

In the adjacent place you can also find Hershey’s chocolate World center. This center is the main visitor place and is open to all public with lot of restaurants and shops. They named Hershey’s chocolate World because of the chocolate theme ride that you can enjoy at this place.
